Hey, I'm Caitlin. I'm completely new to this all blogging world so please understand that i'm trying to find my way around it, i'll get there eventually (well i hope so). I am 19 years old and live in the UK, (No, we don't all sit around drinking tea with our scones and yes the weather is always dull) I am currently studying photography at A-level and i am half way through the exam season (I know, why am i sat writing a blog? Shouldn't i be revising? the answer is yes but this is much more fun!) If you haven't already figured it out, my blog is all about vintage fashion.
So, after watching this series on Netflix called 'Girlboss' (some of you may have seen it, i love how quirky and different the main character is, i wont give out any spoilers don't worry) i had tones of ideas flood to my head in which kept me up for most of the night as i had to write them all down (I can be very forgetful at times) this made me super tired for college anyway i won't ramble on if you become a regular visitor to my blog you will find out that i often do this, oops. The one idea that has stuck to me is doing a vintage blog where i will go out and find the cutest little fashion pieces and write about what era, brand, who wore them (Mainly celebrities who inspired people back in the good old days), how much it costs then and now and i will also give tips on how to style it. I will be selling on these items of clothing to all you lovely people.
I see myself as being creative and outgoing. If i have an idea that i want to do, i will do it even if it doesn't work, its worth a shot right? I am bubbly and very friendly, if anybody has any questions or just wants to chat, please get in touch by emailing me (Email is in my contact details) i will reply as soon as i can.
I have always loved fashion. From a young age fashion has been something i have always wanted to do, i enjoy putting fashion pieces together to create my own statement whether that be quirky, cute, classy or girly. I believe that personality can be perceived through the way a person dresses. Family members tend to take me shopping with them as they see me as their 'free personal stylist' (i know, i should charge right?) i see it as a hobby and love doing it as i get to style for different types of personality's. However, vintage is what i love most about fashion, the way you can put an outfit together from the 60s or 70s by using hair accessories, hair styles, shoes, bags, tops, trousers etc. My college work is all based on Fashion Photography as i just love how an image can sell by using props, lighting and models. Hopefully, i will be able to combine both my passion for vintage clothing and photography into my Lost and Found blog. I hope you guys enjoy my blog as i am super excited to start my blogging journey and hope that you can be a part of it.
